PhD students’ activities – Other activities (44 CFU)

Other activities are aimed at providing every PhD student with a broad scientific background, but always within the perspective of a research career and of building a solid research-network.
The different activities that can be considered are:
Internship or research activity in external laboratories (at least 1 month): max 6 CFU / month*;
Publications (Peer Reviewed Journals; Book Chapter): 10 CFU / publication or 20 CFU / publication if first, last or corresponding author;
Other Publications (No Peer Reviewed Journals, Conference Paper): 4 CFU / publication;
Communications or poster presentation at Congresses and Workshops: 4 CFU / congress;
Participation to Congresses or Workshops: 1 CFU / congress;
Short-term extraordinary external activity: max 1 CFU / 8 hours*;
Participation to seminars: 0.5 CFU / seminar;
Supplementary didactic activity (no tutoring contracts): 1 CFU / 8 hours
Lecturer at DISVA seminars ("seminari contagiosi", "a shot of Science"..):
2 CFU / seminar
External postgraduate courses / Schools:
1 CFU / day
Additional activities**
 (*)   relevance and CFU will be assessed by the Academic Board of the PhD on the advice of the Tutor.
