Enrollment Criteria A.A. 2025/2026

Curricular Requirements
Admission to the Master's Degree Program in Marine Biology is reserved for graduates who meet at least one of the three requirements listed below:

Requirement 1)
A three-year university diploma or bachelor's degree in the following degree classes under Ministerial Decree (DM) 1648/2023, or a master's degree under DM 1649/2023. Degrees awarded under the previous regulations (DM 270/04, DM 509/99), as matched under DM 386/07 and listed in Annex 2 of that decree, are also accepted.

For this first group, the adequacy of personal preparation is considered fulfilled if the final degree grade is equal to or higher than 90/110.

For graduates with a grade lower than 90/110, the adequacy of their personal preparation will be assessed by the Master's Degree Admission Committee through an individual test according to the procedures that will be made available on the Department's website.

Requirement 2)
A different academic qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable by the Admission Committee

For this group, the adequacy of personal preparation will be evaluated through an individual assessment.

Requirement 3)
Acquisition of at least 60 ECTS credits in the following scientific-disciplinary groups: 
a) GROUP 1 (SSD BIO/01, BIO/02, BIO/03, BIO/05, BIO/07): from 12 to 36 ECTS;
b) GROUP 2 (SSD BIO/04, BIO/06, BIO/09, BIO/10, BIO/11, BIO/18, BIO/19): from 12 to 36 ECTS;
c) GROUP 3 (SSD MAT/05, MAT/06, FIS/02, FIS/07, CHIM/03, CHIM/06): from 6 to 30 ECTS.

For this group, the adequacy of personal preparation will be evaluated by the Master's Admission Committee through an individual assessment.

For admission to the program, incoming students must have English language proficiency at a level no lower than B2.

The requirement of English language proficiency at a level equivalent to B2 is considered fulfilled in the following cases:
•    possession of an appropriate language certification;
•    native English speaker;
•    a Bachelor's degree obtained after completing a program of at least three years in which the language of instruction was English.

Alternatively, the English language requirement may be fulfilled by passing a qualifying examination.

INTERVIEW TO VERIFY PERSONAL PREPARATION
The individual assessment of personal preparation, as required by the admission call for the Master's Degree in Environmental Hazard and Disaster Risk Management for the academic year 2025/2026, consists of an interview that will be conducted online via the official platforms ZOOM/TEAMS, according to the procedures indicated on the Department’s website.

There will be 5 test sessions:
•    11/09/2025 at 2:00 PM (CEST)
•    23/10/2025 at 2:00 PM (CEST)
•    20/11/2025 at 2:00 PM (CET)
•    15/01/2026 at 2:00 PM (CET)
•    12/03/2026 at 2:00 PM (CET)

To be admitted to the interview, candidates must submit/send a conditional enrollment application by November 5, 2025 (After this date, enrollment will incur a late fee).

Candidates must attend the interview on the first available date after submission of the application.
